From Mom Jeans....To Marathon! Sponsored by Nutrisystem WEEK 3

Another week down.....WOW that went fast! With the Fourth of July weekend, I was a little worried that I would fall off the wagon this week. Great to report that I didn't! I went to visit my parent's this weekend, and while everyone else enjoyed the barbeque I enjoyed a Nutrisystem meal and a salad happily. I am becoming more aware of portion control as I go; it is not necessary to eat nearly as much as I used to.

I have decided that I am going to be adding a new sport/hobby to my routine and I'm going to start hiking. There are some great trails and state parks near our home in the country. It's my hope that it adds some tranquility to my life in the process. Life in the city, though wonderfully exciting, can be a bit hectic and stressful. After much personal reflection, I have come to realize that a lot of the eating that I did, was in response to stressful situations. So this week I am setting off on yet another journey to reduce the stress. Hopefully this will help me to maintain my weight after I reach my desired goal weight.
I did my week 3 weigh in this morning, and how exciting is this?! I have lost yet another 3 pounds! Bringing my total weight loss in the beginning of week 4 to 11 and  1/2 pounds! I treated myself to some new workout clothes this week, as I was swimming in my old ones ( don't want anything falling down or off while I'm running now do I?;) Here's to more dress sizes lost, a better healthier me, and 1 goal getting closer to being met by the day!

I will be running the New York City Marathon for the Standing Tall organization on 11/7/10~26 Miles! Join me as I blog my way through this journey.
