Holiday Gift Guide 2010: My Tot Clock (Review & Giveaway)

A Little Bit About My Tot Clock
My Tot Clock is an all-in-one sleep aid, alarm clock, nightlight, and timer for children ages 2+. It teaches little ones when to sleep (blue light) and when it's okay to get out of bed (yellow light). It also plays bedtime stories, lullabies, fun wake music, and even white noise (like ocean sounds)! As an added bonus, My Tot Clock has a light blue light for nap time, a red light for timeout, and a green light for any positive timed activity. Perfect for those young enough to start learning a daily routine, but not old enough to be able to tell time. Also great for their sleepy parents! Guaranteed better sleep or your money back!
Features Include:
-My Tot Clock changes colors to teach little ones when to sleep (blue light) and when it’s okay to wake (yellow light).

-Plays bedtime stories, lullabies, fun wake music, and even white noise!

-Makes a great night light with 5 levels of illumination.

-Built-in Discipline Timer (red light) when a little timeout is needed.

-Built-in Toddler Activity Manager (green light) for any positive timed activity like potty training and
picking up toys.

-Changeable faceplates to match your child’s interests or bedroom theme

Our Experience
B has been able to tell time (with a digital clock) since he was 3, so convincing him to stay in bed until the clock reads 6 or 7 was fairly easy.......the princess is an entirely different story! As she cannot read the clock and has no general concept of time (I kid you not) the likely hood of her crawling out of bed and tapping me on my nose to rouse me from sleep to invite me to one of her impromptu "tea party's" at 4 am.......is GREAT!

I'm a much better mommy when I've had a few (I'm not greedy give me six hours of sleep and I'm good to go ;) hours of sleep than I am when sleep is sporadic, and at best totals 3-4 hours. As such; you can imagine my unabashed enthusiasm when I came across the My Tot Clock! A system that teaches your children time in a language that my toddler understands (color's are kind of her thing as she's into fashion....I know kinda funny right?! ;).. SIGN ME UP!

When the My Tot Clock arrived I tore it from the box (again, I kid you NOT ;) and promptly began setting the times after a quick skim through the manual. In no time at all we were up and running! I described the clock to the princess and all that it was going to "help us with". She was enthusiastic.....ahhhh THANK YOU!The toddler was on board with the concept....half the battle is getting her on board! She loved the story time feature (in which a pleasant narrator reads a story); she loved the music; she was visibly excited that it was brighter than her other nightlight (it's adjustable and provides a nice glow in her room at night ).......so would it work to help her sleep through the night?!

After just two nights she understood (cue the harps); she really GOT IT
Blue....SLEEP ...Yellow.....AWAKE! We have used the My Tot Clock for time outs as well, and she responds a bit better than she used to.....as she knows when the color changes the time is up (a little bit more mild than a screeching egg timer;). The princess has already asked for one of the interchangeable face plates......which Santa ;) will be obliging her with on Christmas. I would definitely recommend the My Tot Clock to all parents (especially those lacking sleep due to late night/ early morning toddler party's;) ! My Tot Clock would make an excellent Holiday Gift (likewise as a Baby Shower Gift!)!
