Our Experience

We are HUGE FAN'S of Hayneedle.com in our home! With the quality item's, great prices, and amazing customer service, you can't help but LOVE the shopping experience with them each and every time! As such, we were so excited to have the opportunity to review the Charleston Medium Pre-lit Tree from one of Hayneedles online stores, http://www.christmastreesgalore.com/ . 

It's been a long standing tradition in our house to put up the tree either the day before Thanksgiving or Thanksgiving day (we like to enjoy it for a while since it's so much work to put it up ;) and it stays up through the New Year. Because we leave the tree up so long, we have had an Artificial Tree for as long as I can remember. Last year I noticed that the bulbs on our old tree were going out a little more frequently, and it just didn't look as spiffy as it had in past years.

So, this year I set off to find a new tree! Although I searched through several stores (the prices on some were OUTRAGEOUS to say the least) catalogs, and online, I just couldn't find one that I liked and that would fit in the space that I wanted to put it in. At last I went to Hayneedle.com (where I should have gone first!) and found that they have an entire online store dedicated to Christmas Tree's and decorations! How thrilled were we when the 7.5 ft Charleston Medium Pre-Lit Tree arrived?! I wanted to set it up right away and had to restrain myself for a few weeks (dh would have thought I'd lost my mind if I set it up in October ;). Finally, the day before Thanksgiving we brought all of the decorations out and on Thanksgiving we set everything up (The Charleston Medium Pre Lit Tree All Decorated Pictured Above).

This tree is absolutely gorgeous, and the varying needles make it look so real! With the perfect amount of white lights pre-installed, all we had to do was shape the branches, plug it in, and decorate! Our Experience

B is the ULTIMATE Dinosaur fan! He LOVE'S Dinosaur Train (which airs on PBS in the morning here-check your local listings) and he never misses an episode! The princess (who is the girliest little girl you'll ever come across;) even gets into it. How can you not with the adorable animation?! There's so much to learn on Dinosaur Train as well (I love that this show teaches them so much), at their young ages my children know more about Dinosaurs than I do!

B was naturally super excited when I introduced him to the InterAction Boris and Spike (Boris pictured above, Spike pictured below) by Learning Curve. By simply setting them in front of each other, they talk and interact (through SmartTalk Technology), they created a display that left both the Princess and B with their mouth's wide open......the princess still says "it's magic" when they start talking to each other. B and the princess have had a wonderful time listening to all of the Dinosaur facts they talk about and the conversations their two new friends have! They're funny, adorable, and my favorite part? They have tons of knowledge (Dinosaur Facts) to bestow upon my children. We absolutely love Dinosaur Train InterAction Dinosaurs! B now wants to collect the other's; can't wait to hear what they all have to say to each other when the gangs all here!

The princess loves us to read to her! We read with her daily, and her love for books only grows as she gets older. So I was excited when we were introduced to the new SmartyAnts Phonics Reading Pup (from the founder of LeapFrog). The Phonics Reading Pup comes with 10 pre-loaded songs, one story, and a membership to the Smarty Ants online world (where you can download new stories and songs to your puppy).

 We received the White Puppy (pictured above; also available in the Husky Puppy), and upon taking it out of the box, I was pleasantly surprised by the softness! This cuddly little pup is ready to go straight out of the box, so we pressed his paw, and the princess lit up in delight as the pleasant voice sang and the pup moved (very lifelike), she was in complete awe! We later took her online to the SmartyAnt's site where you can download additional stories and songs (very easy) and play in the online SmartyAnts virtual world. The Phonics Reading Pup is perfectly age appropriate, and such a fun reading companion (we strive to make learning fun in our home :); The princess has found a new best buddy!

Our Experience

A remote control monster?! Yes, B was all for it! Plus, the Imaginext BIGFOOT the Monster, really airs more on the side of friendly, and funny. Fairly sizable, B was amused by all of the things that BIGFOOT says's and was even more excited when he figured out that he does tricks!  Throw the ball, feed him, take him for a walk; with a remote control that offers various functions, there's so many thing's to do! Our Experience

The princess is thoroughly impressed with all thing's pink and purple, so she naturally fell in love instantly with the Pinkalicious series! An adorable little soft cuddly of her favorite character?! She was over the moon when it arrived :). The doll is made so well, and is adorably detailed!

We also had the opportunity to check out the Pinkalicious 3-1 Card Game set (pictured above). Out of the three her favorite games are Purpleicious (Old Maid) and Goldilicious (Bingo), and she was delighted with all of the illustrations from the series on the cards, they definitely held her attention, and we had tons of fun!

Our Experience

B is a music lover and has been since he was a baby. He has several instruments and he plays the Piano. His interest was definitely sparked when he seen the Paper Jamz Guitar (available in a variety of eye catching shapes, colors, and designs)! We pulled it from the box, and his immediate interest was in it's slim size (really very impressive). After checking it out some more we found that it's features make it great for both the novice player, or even the more experienced player (Freestyle mode allows you to play chords on your own). B loves to play with it in perfect play mode, all he has to do is strum, and the notes to three different songs play (as stated perfectly). This has to be one of the most amazing toy's I've seen this season. It really takes music to a whole new level. B has now asked if Santa can bring a Paper Jamz Amp and Drum set....I think he'll be pleasantly surprised on Christmas morning;). Paper Jamz make great gifts for music lover's of all ages; check out Paper Jamz this Holiday Season, I'm sure you'll be just as impressed as we are!

Our Experience

The princess is like most little girls, she loves to nurture her baby doll's and play pretend. We are big fans of the ERGObaby carrier, so I was excited to see that they also offer little mini versions of their comfortable carrier's for Doll's & pretend play. This really is the  perfect accessory for every little girl and boy who love to take their baby doll's out and about.

The princess was ecstatic when the ERGObaby doll carrier arrived. Her favorite thing to do now is put her baby on her back in the ERGO, and take her for a spin on her Big Wheel ;).
