Our Experience
Oh' my! Do you all remember the hours of fun that Shrinky Dinks offer?! I do! They were actually one of my absolute FAVORITE craft projects when I was a child! Back then though we had to color our Shrinky Dinks and wait patiently as our parents loaded the designs onto a baking sheet, and then we sat by the oven to watch through the window in the oven door as the shrinking magic occurred! I don't know what it is about Shrinky Dinks, but these amazing shrinking wonders never get old!

I had the opportunity to introduce both of our children to Shrinky Dinks recently. They have been having an absolute blast, just as I knew they would! Things have definitely advanced since my last encounter with Shrinky Dinks! Now, there is no need to wait as mom or dad handle the shrinking process. Nope, now kids can be completely hands on with the Incredible Shrinky Dinks Maker by Big Time Toys! It comes with most of the supplies needed (it simply requires a bulb to get started), so getting started doesn't take long once you've removed The Incredible Shrinky Dinks Maker from the packaging! Our kids sat down to color some of their favorite images onto the included Shrinking Plastic (additional licenced themed Shrinky Dinks kits are also available for purchase separately). Next, we cut the images out, and placed them into the Incredible Shrinky Dinks Maker (using the included tool)! The kids really enjoyed watching through the dome window in the top of the unit as their creations transformed right before their very eyes (just as I remember doing as a child in front of the oven door). Though adult supervision is necessary, this is a super fun activity that kids (and kids at heart) are sure to enjoy.
