My Experience

Our Experience

Summer is almost upon us, and for our family it will mean tons of time spent outdoors!  With many vacations planned and all of the time that we spend outside with the kids in our yard during the warmer seasons, I am starting to think about sun protection. We are always sure to slather on  sunscreen, however, after a certain period of time has passed, or time spent in the water it's effectiveness can be questionable if not consistently reapplied. Our Experience

If your children are like mine, and RUN when you mention putting on sunscreen, GO!screen is definitely a product you'll want to stock up on this Summer! I have been using mineral makeup for years and I appreciate that it has a natural SPF, so I was excited to try all new GO!screen mineral sunscreen out with my family. With virtually no scent, and the same lite non pour clogging formula that I've come to know and LOVE with my mineral makeup, I knew that this wasn't something that the kids would run from, and I was right. The GO!screen brush (pictured above) actually houses the mineral sunscreen in the handle, you simply click the button to dispense the minerals onto the brush  for a simple mess free application. The real test was to see if the kids could run around in the sun for an extended period of time without getting a sunburn. Not only did the GO!screen hold up in the sun for hours, I didn't have to continuously reapply it. My kids (as well as my husband and myself) love GO!screen, it has simplified a task that they normally don't enjoy, and made it simple to protect our skin from the sun.

Our Experience

Do you remember the day's when experiencing 3-D Entertainment meant wearing those uncomfortable cardboard glasses, clad with one red lens and one blue lens ( "lens" meaning a piece of colored cellophane)?  Those day's are LONG GONE baby!  The Pioneers in the gaming industry, Nintendo, have come up with a All New advanced model to add to their popular line (number #1 selling handheld gaming system in the U.S.) of DS handheld gaming systems! Just released in March, the Nintendo 3DS offers the ULTIMATE 3D gaming experience ( an experience like NO OTHER), no glasses required!

In addition to the 3D advancements, there are several feature upgrades that DS user's will notice and appreciate as well. The circle pad allows you to manipulate the game more quickly and efficiently.  While with the motion sensor, some games (compatible games required for the feature to apply) simply require you to move the 3DS unit itself (up, down, side to side) to manipulate the game.

While the 3D animation is INCREDIBLE (really who ever thought that we would be able to experience 3D entertainment without the annoying glasses?!) If you prefer a less in-depth 3D experience you can "dial down" the effects to a comfortable level with the 3D Depth Slider. If you prefer to play without the 3D, the option to turn it off is there as well. I am completely blown away by all of the incredible technology available in the all new 3DS unit ( and B is in total jaw dropping AWE!), it truly offers a customizable gaming experience and is unlike any other gaming system currently available on the market.  With the FIRST EVER (monumental!) 3D Display, the Nintendo 3DS has catapulted us into the future of gaming (and have at the same time made a huge stride in their advancement of 3D Technology!). This is something that  you don't want to miss folks, the Nintendo 3DS ushers us into a new concept in gaming, that I'm positive will be a HIT (amongst children & adult gamers alike) for a long time to come....it's a HUGE hit in our household!

My Experience

Week 22 Update

The past week and a half has been great, it's wonderful to be back to eating my delicious Nutrisystem meals! I really missed a few of my favorites, the French Toast with a bowl of fruit salad is the PERFECT way to start the day! Another guilty pleasure (without the guilt)  on the Nutrisystem program is the Ice Cream Sundae's for desert, and some of the other scrumptious frozen dinner entrees (less like a diet and more like a treat!).

For the past 22 weeks, it has been fairly easy to stick with the plan (aside from unplanned dental issues). Having experienced other diet programs in the past, I always found it hard to keep up as I felt like I was punishing myself (while I sat with my diet food at dinner and my family was enjoying and delighting in one of my home cooked meals). With gourmet frozen entrees & desserts, and the ability to take some of the pantry food with me when I'm on the go (life can get a bit hectic, and it's great to know that I can bring my Nutrisystem along without hassle) Nutrisystem has proven to be the perfect plan for my lifestyle, I'm very pleased with the results! In a little over a week, I have managed to take off an additional 2 pounds!

With just 11 pounds to go until I reach my goal weight....I am beyond thrilled! The results that I have seen with Nutrisystem to date have been unlike that of any other diet plan that I have EVER experienced! Thank you Nutrisystem, I'm now experiencing a whole new part of my wardrobe that I haven't been able to wear in quite a long time!

Our Experience

Do you have a little one in the house that has fallen  in love with the High School Musical trilogy of films? I do! My oldest is a total fanatic, and the princess adores all of music and dancing! Because they fell in love with High school Musical, I just KNEW that they would enjoy Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure!
When we popped the DVD in, the kids sat at complete attention to see where Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure would take this popular High School Musical character next. The storyline is inspiring, and reflects some wonderful teaching points of patience, appreciation, and friendship. With a star cast that includes other popular Disney Stars, this musical adventure is a definite crowd pleaser (we have watched it a few times over the past couple weeks)! B and the princess love to get up and sing and dance along with Sharpay!

The story line of the film follows Sharpay (and her beloved dog "Boi") as she steps out of her comfort zone and pursues her dreams on her own (without using the influence of her father's money) and creates new friendships in an unfamiliar place. Our Experience

As I've mentioned before, we live in an older (late 1800's) Colonial home. Though there are some charming characteristics to the house, there are also some thing's that I could definitely do without. First, the lack of closet space. Second, the teeny tiny kitchen. With old cupboards that present a challenge when it comes to storing anything with a width of more than 6 inches, and limited counter space we generally have to pick and choose which kitchen accesories are a must have, and which we can safely do without.

We have (for a very long time), chosen to do without a microwave. Though we've managed to do this at most times without any issue, when it comes to making fun thing's like microwave popcorn on family movie night, or simply heating up a cup of soup.....it either doesn't happen or it turns into a HUGE production! With the stove, a pot, and other utensils involved (which generally equals more dishes for mom to do!) I have definitely been anxious to find an alternative to the average size microwave! I recently happened upon a space efficient, energy efficient alternative ......the iWavecube! The iWavecube  has solved previous issues and has given us back the convenience of a microwave without monopolizing all of our counter space.
