Snowman Christmas Tree How To - Super Cute White Tree Decorating Idea and SO Easy! + Treetopia White Tree Mystery $100 GC Giveaway

For the past few years, I've been contemplating a second Christmas tree for our dining room, so that I could decorate it as a big snowman. But I never seemed to get around to it. This year, we finally did it!

Read on to check out how we put together this super cute (yet incredibly easy to decorate) Snowman Christmas tree and for your chance to enter and win a $100 gift card to Treetopia...

I was thrilled when Treetopia reached out and asked me to participate in their annual White Tree Mystery challenge, as I've been wanting to decorate a second tree as a snowman for our dining room for a while now. I love that because it's decorated as a snowman, we can leave it up a bit longer into the winter. It will add a nice glow to our home, long after all of the holiday decor and our other tree has been taken down.

It's so easy create the same look that we did with our snowman Christmas tree (pictured above), with a white Christmas tree.

Here's what you'll need:
  • A white Christmas tree of your choosing (they have a great selection of white tree's at treetopia.com
  • A hat for your snowman (we found the pictured top hat shaped wicker basket at our local craft store in the holiday section. I simply hollowed out the bottom of it with my Dremel to fit it on the top of the tree). A Santa hat would be super cute too- and they're fairly easy to find this time of year.
  • Snowflake ornaments - because after-all,  a snowman is made of snowflakes! We found the pictured ornaments at our local craft store in packs of 12 for $2 a pack (we used 3 packs to cover our tree).
  • Glue gun and low temp glue sticks (to affix felt to Styrofoam cone to create your snowman nose)
  • Styrofoam floral cone (usually found in the floral section at your local craft store)
  • Orange felt (to cover Styrofoam cone to create your snowman's nose)
  • Skewer (to insert in your finished Styrofoam snowman nose to place/ affix in your tree)
  • Scrap fabric to create a scarf for your snowman (or an actual scarf that's long enough to fit around your tree).
  • White or clear sewing thread
  • A sewing needle
  • Large black pompoms - we used 10 to create  our snowman's eyes, mouth, and buttons. Simply string them using your needle and thread (drive the needle straight through the center of your pompoms) and hang your pompoms from the trees branches to create your mouth
  • Batting/fabric fill to pile up around the base of your tree to create the look of snow, or a white Christmas tree skirt.
