Slime Supplies Gift Cake How-To

What you'll need:

  • Scissors
  • Glue Dots (for securing each of the items to your slime supplies cake.)
  •  Ribbon in your choice of color(s) to wrap around each tier of supplies (refer to imagery above / below)
  • 3 different sizes of cardboard cake rounds ( I found the ones pictured in a tiered cake set for $1)
  • 8-10 4 oz. bottles of white school glue
  • 6-8 bottles of glitter glue
  • contact lens solution
  • 6-8 mini boxes of baking soda
  • 6-8 shakers of glitter
  • food coloring
  • mixing bowls
  • a spatula

How to:

  1. Assemble the base "layer" of your slime supplies gift cake using the mini boxes of baking soda, the largest cardboard cake round, and Glue Dots to secure each box to the outer edge of the cake round. Complete the base layer of your slime supplies gift cake by wrapping it with colorful ribbon / finish it with a bow in the center.
  2. Assemble the middle "layer" of your slime supplies gift cake using the bottles of white school glue, glitter shakers and mixing bowls, and the medium cardboard cake round. Secure each bottle of glue to the outer edge of the medium cardboard cake round using Glue Dots. Secure the glitter shakers to the outside edge of the cake round, also using Glue Dots. Place the mixing bowls into the center of the cake round (refer to imagery below.) Complete the middle layer of your slime supplies gift cake by wrapping it with colorful ribbon / finish it with a bow in the center.
  3. Assemble the top "layer" of your slime supplies gift cake using the glitter glue, food coloring and contact lens solution, the smallest cardboard cake round and Glue Dots. Secure the contact lens solution in the center of the cardboard cake round using Glue Dots. Arrange and secure the glitter glue bottles around the outer edges of the cake round using Glue Dots. Complete the top layer of your slime supplies gift cake by wrapping it with colorful ribbon / finish it with a bow in the center.
  4. Now, stack the layers to create a "cake." Place Glue Dots on the tops of the baking soda boxes in your base layer. Place the middle layer on top. Press lightly to secure in place.
  5. Next place Glue dots on top of each of the tips to the bottles of glue in the middle layer. Place the top layer on top. Press lightly to secure in place.
  6. To complete your slime supplies gift cake, use small pieces of ribbon to tie the spatula, measuring cups / measuring spoons in place. Add a few slime recipes on a hand-written gift tag and tie it to your slime supplies gift cake (or gift alongside a book of slime recipes.)
Gift your slime supplies gift cake to someone special!

Happy crafting, friends!
