Nancy Drew heads for Japan where she’s staying at a traditional ryokan (inn) for a little R&R with Bess and George, but when reports of a vengeful ghost start scaring away the guests, Nancy’s vacation takes a turn for ter-ror! It’ll be up to you, as Nancy Drew, to un-cover the secret that lies beneath the surface, before the ghost can take its revenge!

  • Immerse yourself in Japanese culture by learning about origami, tea ceremonies, and calligraphy.
  • Take pictures of possible evidence and play games on your cell phone.
  • Be prepared for the scariest Nancy Drew game in the series just in time for Halloween.

My Experience
I'll let you in on a little secret......I"m a bit of a gaming mom! I LOVE to play board, computer, and Wii Games! My children, seem to be just as jazzed as I am by games too.....which makes for tons of family fun! Though the princess is still too young for the Nancy Drew series (I can't wait to introduce her to the books & computer games when she's older) I was excited to solve the mystery!

I remember these stories fondly from my "girlhood" (as I am sure many mom's do...Nancy Drew Celebrates her 80th Anniversary this year!).The computer gaming series by HER Interactive brings Nancy Drew to "life" on your computer screen! With different difficulty levels to choose from and great graphics.....the gaming experience is both fun and incredibly interactive.

What I love about  Nancy Drew: Shadow at the Water's Edge:
  • The many different customizable settings.
  • Nancy Drew Shadow at the Water's Edge is mystery solving fun with a dash of culture! The opportunity to learn about Japanese Culture is very appreciated by this can learn while their playing!
  • Player's have a "do over" with the opportunity to start over from where they left off ( just before they made the mistake) taking allot of the frustration out of gaming (great for kids)......focusing more on the thrill of solving the mystery
Nancy Drew: Shadow at the Water's Edge is recommended for ages 10+
