Schools out! The relaxed state of things in our home is palpable, and you won't hear me complain one bit. We've spent the last few days away from home, and today the kids stumbled down the stairs after waking at their leisure. Without the harsh sounds of alarms, and without agenda. It's lovely folks. Just lovely!

As I've mentioned a time or two {or maybe three} we aren't over-planning this summer. We have a few fun things planned, but other than that we're flying by the seat of our pants, and going where the wind takes us {or so to speak}. I have kind of had it with the over-planned, over-scheduled way of life these days and I'm more than ready to steer this ship into calmer waters.

My plan for relaxing and recharging this summer is simple, After-all the more elaborate the plan, the more likely that stress is soon to follow.

Take a hike. Find local trails or head to a local state park to take in the scenic views. There's nothing more rejuvenating than fresh air and exercise in a beautiful setting. This is something that you can do as a family too!

Grow something. Plant a garden, and tend it daily. It's incredibly relaxing to watch the flowers bloom, and it's super fun to grow vegetables and incorporate them into delicious summer recipes. Gardening also gets you out in the fresh air and sunshine, which is great for your overall mood. The rewards that this summer activity reap are definitely plentiful!

Play. Even adults need time to unwind and play sometimes! Whether you take time each day to solve your favorite cross-word puzzle, to craft up something fun, or spend time playing your favorite app; having fun is a necessary element in relaxing & recharging. When I'm stressed out I take some time to craft up something fun, or I pull out my phone and spend some time playing my favorite apps, such as DoubleDown Casino , it has 50 authentic slot games among other casino floor favorites. My favorite game is The Fruits Slot Machine. It reminds me of an old collectible slot machine that my grandfather used to have in his house when we were little. It's free and easy to play, and it's a great way to relax and unwind after a hard day. You can even connect and play with friends and family through Facebook. 1. What a delicious drink that I will have to make and it looks so pretty and delicious. I do not play games on the computer because I am no good at them, plus I do not have the time right now. My son and sister are huge game players. Maybe someday I will get into it.
