You can customize each DIY K-Cup Bouquet to the individuals preferences by using different mugs with cute sayings / images / patterns, K-Cups in their personal favorite variety, and different flowers / color schemes. You have full creative control to make each K-Cup Bouquet arrangement truly special and unique for each recipient.
These are so simple to make, and only take about 15-20 minutes to assemble once you have all of your supplies ready. I made this arrangement with Twinings Green Tea, and big bright blooms. I absolutely love how it turned out! In total I assembled 10 of these cute little K-Cup Bouquet flower arrangements for all of the special moms in my life, and I can't wait to gift them this Mothers Day.
Read on to grab the simple supply list and step-by-step image tutorial on how to assemble your own DIY K-Cup Bouquets, perfect for gifting this Mothers Day (or any special day of the year, really), below.
DIY K-Cup Bouquet How-To
(note: multiply supplies based on how many bouquets you are assembling)
What you'll need:
- 1 Large mug of your choosing
- 8 K-Cups of your choosing
- Green tissue paper
- 8 small rubber bands
- Scissors
- Floral wire cutters / heavy duty scissors
- Silk flowers in your choice of colors / blooms
- A foam ball (cut in half, as pictured below - you only need one half for each bouquet )
- Large temporary hold Glue Dots
- Optional: Floral arrangement card stake / small floral arrangement greeting card (refer to images above and below)
How to:
- Cut 16 large squares of tissue paper (refer to image below). Set to the side.
- Cut your foam floral ball in half (refer to image below). Set to the side.
- Cut the stems of your blooms down so they are no longer than 3 inches long each. Set to the side
- Starting with your K-Cups, arrange two pre-cut squares of tissue paper (as pictured below). Place a K-Cup (top up) in the center. Bunch the tissue up around the sides and wrap/affix it with a rubber band. Repeat this step until each K-Cup is wrapped.Set to the side.
- Next, grab your Glue Dots and your mug. Place 12-14 glue dots around the rim of mug (don't worry, they remove easily and won't leave any sticky residue behind).
- Now, Press the underside (the flat surface) of the pre-cut floral ball half onto the rim of the mug (refer to image below). Press until the floral foam ball half is firmly in place.
- Next, turn over all of your tissue paper wrapped K-Cups and place 3-4 Glue Dots on them. Set them to the side, sticky side up to avoid having them stick to anything.
- Begin to arrange your flowers on the floral foam ball (refer to images below). Every 3 inches or so, press one of the wrapped K-Cups to the floral foam ball. Repeat this step until your arrangement is full, even, and complete.
- Optional: Write a personal message on the gift card, and insert it/ affix it to the K-Cup bouquet using the floral stake (refer to image below.
