DIY Schleich Horse Club Play Tray - A Simple Craft to Expand on the Creative Play!

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Schleich .  The opinions and text are all mine.
This DIY Schleich Horse Club Play Tray is such a simple craft to do with the kids to expand on the creative play with your Schleich Horse Club figurines! These easy Horse Club play trays come together in under an hour and with about $6 worth of simple supplies (you may even already have some of the items already on-hand.) Make a simple scene inside of your DIY Horse Club play tray like ours, or make it more detailed. You can also make more than one scene in more than one tray! As a mom I love how easy it is to store these DIY Play Trays when they're not in-use, too!

DIY Schleich Horse Club Play Tray How-To

What you'll need:

  •  Scissors
  • Paint brush
  • 12" wooden tray (we found the one pictured at a local craft store for $3.)
  • Multi-surface paint in your choice of colors
  • Felt (in your choice of colors - we used green for grass and blue for water to create the pictured play tray.)
  • Glue-all or strong all-purpose glue / hot glue and a glue gun (note: if using a hot glue gun, an adult should handle the steps that require the use of the glue gun and hot glue.)
  •  Buttons or any add-ons that you'd like to use to create the scene inside of your play tray - i.e. Popsicle sticks to create a DIY horse jump, small buckets or bins to create the look of a trough for the horses etc.(we used buttons to create the look of river rocks / stones on the edge of the blue felt river.)
  • Schleich Horse Club figurines
