Oh Baby! 36 Weeks and Counting....

With just 29 days to go until my due date ( February 7, 2014) we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our baby boy. I had my daughter at 36 weeks, so he could make his debut at any time now

This pregnancy has had it's fair share of ups and downs - but I would do it all again in a heartbeat. With two older children (now 7 & 9 years old) this is sure to be a fresh experience for our family. Our first two were so close in age that everything came very easily.  When our daughter came along, we knew what to expect.  As we were fresh out of certain stages with our son, we were entering into those same stages with our daughter. They occupied each other and have grown to be fairly close friends (when they aren't at each others necks of course - it's a fine balance love hate relationship for sure). There will definitely be a different dynamic this time around.

Times have certainly changed since my first 2 were born. Just one example?  We have already "met" our baby via 3D ultrasound imaging (which - by the way - is pretty neat!).  Knowing what your baby looks like before they are born was a foreign concept for us. We (of course)  knew all about 3D ultrasound imaging. However, nothing can quit prepare you for the AWE that overcomes you when you experience it first hand. The technician rubs the wand across your stomach and reveals detailed - up-close imagery of your child. Just AMAZING!

While we have been anticipating the arrival of the newest member of our family, we have been gearing up for the big day with all of the essentials. I will be sharing some of my must have picks (and a Newborn Essentials Guide) in the coming weeks. Things have changed so drastically over the years! It has been a full-on adventure learning about the newest developments in the world of all things baby - and I am excited to share!

I hope that everyone had a fabulous holiday season filled with friends & family - Wishing you all a very blessed & happy 2014!
