Moms, I want to help lighten your load a bit this summer. As a busy mom of 3, I know first hand how hard it can be to lug around the large camera. Your hands are already full! I've found that it's so much easier to just use my smartphone these days. I can snap away, and it stows easily in my pocket. I'm rarely without it, so I never miss a photo-op!
After a ton of trial and error, I'm ready to share some tips and tricks that will help you capture great pictures this summer with your smartphone.
As a mom, I feel like I have a constant picture-in-picture screen playing in my mind. I have a million and one things to juggle at all-times, as most moms do.
Back to school season is in full swing and RadioShack is offering up fabulous price points on all of the tools and essentials that can help to make the school year run more smoothly!
Our top five picks from RadioShack this back to school season include (pictured above):
We recently had the opportunity to check out one of our top 5 picks from RadioShack, when the company sent us the iPad mini (16 GB) for review. While there are several features that we absolutely love about the iPad mini - I personally appreciate that they include everything that you need to get started, right in the box (see image below).
The iPad mini is perfect for children and adults alike. This device offers up all of the convenience and brilliance of the Apple iPad in an easily transportable more compact package - all at a very reasonable price point. The long battery life ( up to 10 hours of use on a single charge) makes this the perfect learning companion for a long school day - without the worry and hassle of needing to find a power source.
For
many Americans, television is a great source of entertainment for the entire family. However, most parents are unaware of the safety risks that
flat panel TV's can pose for children. Due to increasingly large sizing and new ultra thin designs, today's flat panel TV's can easily tip over when bumped or pulled - toppling off of furniture and causing injury or even death.
Bringing this risk to the forefront, SANUS, the leading designer and manufacturer of flat panel TV wall mounts, has partnered with Safe Kids Worldwide to educate parent consumers and offer up safe solutions.
Check out this video with TV Safety tips from Safe Kids Worldwide:
The world of children's Apps certainly isn't new however, in our home it's still fairly new territory. Yes, we have had tablets in our home for the past few years, but in all honesty introducing yet another electronic gadget into my children's lives was something that I preferred to delay, as long as possible. Of course there were a few educational Apps that we downloaded here and there - but they were never allowed to navigate them without an adult present [which is something I still prefer as a parent].
Now that our children are a little older, tablets have become valuable educational tools; we still navigate each and every App purchase with caution though.
Seriously, If you're looking for the perfect gift for the music enthusiast in your life, look no further. Sol Republic Tracks Headphones and Amps Earbuds are a total sound experience!
While we love the sound quality that both the Tracks and Amps produce, we're head over heels for the Tracks; seriously, genius design! The earphones on the Tracks completely separate from the headband, so that you can mix and match colors [very cool!]. The headbands also come in a variety of great colors, so your bound to find one [or more] that you love. Wait! There's more! The Tracks headbands are super durable [check out my demonstration -testing the durability- in the video review below]; Sol Republic is so confident in their design that they even provide a 1,000 day guarantee on the Tracks headbands!
With tablets, mp3 player's, i Devices and gaming systems topping childrens' Holiday Wish Lists this year, finding appropriate kid safe accessories is a must! Chances are, your child will be using these new devices at some point with headphones; making the right accessory choice to protect their sensitive ears is imperative.
Did you know that listening to media [even for a short period of time] at the maximum level that most MP3 players and media devices produce sound [120 decibels] can lead to hearing loss in children?
We adore the new animal themed line by iFrogz, and not just because they are so darn cute [but it certainly helps!] These critter themed headphones [available in both on ear and in ear versions] are volume limiting and only produce sound at a maximum level of 85 decibels; helping to protect your child's little ears.
We absolutely LOVE the myCharge Summit 3000 for providing peace of mind in knowing that we won't lose power while we're out and about! You see, I have this nagging tendency to not charge my cell phone. It's all good until I step out my front door and my phone starts to mock beep at me, indicating the fully drained battery.
The myCharge Summit 3000 has the capability to charge/top off the battery of Apple® devices, Android phones and cell phones, providing up to 13 hours of talk time on typical smart phones. This compact device is perfect for stowing in a purse, briefcase, or backpack. It would also be a great idea to keep a charged myCharge power bank in the glove compartment of your vehicle, in case of emergency.
The myCharge Summit 3000 includes a Apple® device adapter [charges iPod's, iPad's, and iPhone's] a Micro USB adapter, and a on-board USB port for use with your own adapters. The myCharge Summit 3000 unit itself can be charged via the USB cable or the fold flat A/C adapter.
